Both have been spending time in Marcus’s home after they met at a gig in Nashville, Tennessee last month. "Marcus invited Carey to watch him play a secret show in the basement of his friend Mike Harris’ home in Nashville. She sat in the front row while he was singing and Marcus looked down at Carey and she blushed," said a source. "It was clear they had chemistry. Afterwards they went to the City House restaurant and dined with friends but they sat together and acted like a couple," the source added. Mumford has reportedly invited Mulligan to accompany him when his band tours the US next month. "Carey’s hoping they can spend more time together when Marcus flies back to America next month for a major tour with his band. He’s hired a vintage train instead of a tour bus and has asked Carey to join him for the trip. It’s early days but they seem to enjoy each other’s company," said an insider.

A music insider said it had "for years" been a dream for the Tik Tok hitmaker, who first revealed her want during a UK interview in 2009.

"You will leave covered in sweat, beer, glitter, and, just maybe, you’ll get a special edition Ke$ha condom," she said.
