In a desperate bid to get some attention for her TV show, Jessica Simpson stripped down to dress up in a skimpy carnival gear as she flaunted her assets in the Rio carnival.

Grooving with the samba dancers, the stunner exposed her plum bust for an episode for her new TV show. ‘The Dukes of Hazard’ star is traveling the world to examine how different cultures perceive beauty in a series called 'The Price Of Beauty'.

One of her first stops is Brazil, where she quickly familiarized herself with traditional samba attire. And if this eye-popping promotions wasn’t enough, the lass is also set to speak about her sexual relationship with former beau John Mayer on The Oprah Winfrey Show.

Mary Kate Olsen single again

Actress Mary Kate Olsen has resumed her single status after splitting from her boyfriend.

The Full House star, who worked with her twin sister to portray Michelle Tanner on the series, began dating Nate Lowman in 2008.

The pair was reported to be getting serious with rumours claiming a 2010 wedding may be in the pipeline.

But a spokesperson for the star dismissed the speculation, saying the two were no longer together.

The spokesperson told Us Weekly magazine: "No, they are not together any more. It’s been a while."

She has a legacy of wearing revealing dresses and at the age of 44, Elizabeth Hurley outdid herself when she attended a charity fundraiser in a see-through sari.

With Indian textile heir husband Arun Nayar on her arm, the actress posed happily for the cameras at the Love Ball charity fundraiser in a dazzling blue sari.

The mother of one left nothing to the imagination in the ensemble, showing she still has the voluptuous figure to carry off even the most risque of numbers.

But it was unclear whether the revealing nature of her outfit was a sheer accident or intentional.

Sixteen years on from wearing the jaw-dropping Versace gown held together by safety pins, which became known as ‘that dress’, Hurley is still managing to make headlines with her outfits.

At the time the brunette was dating actor Hugh Grant, and joined him for the 1994 premiere of “Four Weddings And A Funeral”.

Yesterday too, Hurley was among a host of stars including supermodel Kate Moss and singer Leona Lewis, but outshone them all with her choice of outfit.

Scarlett Johansson escapes death on film set

Hollywood actress Scarlett Johansson narrowly escaped death after a wild horse she was riding during the shooting of "The Other Boleyn Girl" fell on her.

"I was riding side saddle with this 400 pound costume on and I always carried around this Bulgarian body guard. It had been raining and we rode up this muddy embankment and suddenly the horse was being temperamental”, said the actress.

"The horse reared up and I felt majestic on top and he started to roll over on one side," she added.

Johansson said she felt she would die until her bodyguard came to her rescue.

"I thought for sure this was going to crush my legs and out of nowhere my Bulgarian bodyguard flew in and stop, dropped, and he rolled, and he carried me sailing through the air! I knew he would save my life one day, and he did," she said.

Heidi Montag to design her own clothing range

Reality TV star Heidi Montag is designing her own clothing range.

The ‘Hills’ star eventually wants to launch a couture collection, followed by a budget line for her fans, as well as a bikini collection.

"Most of my inspiration comes from old movies and I have tons of books on old Hollywood. I just love the magnificence of that time, the sequins, the sexiness. I want to capture the true lustre of Hollywood in all my designs," she said.

"This is just the beginning. I’d really love to eventually wear mostly my own designs and I really would love to do a low end line and then a one-of-a-kind couture line to really showcase my creativity," she added.

Katrina Kaif to spread awareness of domestic violence

Katrina Kaif, Saif Ali Khan, Harman Baweja and Minnisha Lamba have joined hands to spread awareness about the evil of domestic violence.

The Wave Foundation has initiated a cause with Flying Unicorn Entertainment to create awareness and try and end domestic violence towards women in the country.

An event is being organised with support from members of the Hindi film industry to give impetus to the cause and to honour six women who have stood up against domestic violence.

Katrina, Harman and Saif will be performing at the event.

According to a source, "Katrina always likes being part of something meaningful. If her presence brings greater recognition towards the cause she always extends her full hearted support”.

Kate Moss voted Teens Top Role Model

Kate Moss has been voted Teenagers’ Top Role Model in a new poll.

1,032 sixteen-year-olds were quizzed and 68 percent of them chose the supermodel as their Top Role Model.

Soccer star Wayne Rooney followed the beauty at the second spot with 60 per cent.

Singer Lady Gaga with 53 percent came third.

According to the survey, 54 percent of the teenagers said they wanted to become a celebrity in the future.

Danielle Bux to have more kids with Gary Lineker

Retired English footballer Gary Lineker’s wife Danielle Bux has revealed that she is definitely looking forward to having children with him.

30 years old, Bux, a Welsh lingerie model, and 49 year old, Lineker, already have five children between them, but that is not going to stop them from having more.

“We’ve discussed it and definitely in the future”, said Bux.

“I don’t want to leave it too late, because I don’t want to be an old mum, so maybe in a couple of years,” she added.

Catherine Zeta Jones voted Worst Dressed by PETA

Hollywood beauty Catherine Zeta Jones has been voted the biggest fashion offender by animal rights group PETA in its annual ‘Worst Dressed’ list.

"With her creepy cow-skin pants, ugly fox coat, and icky alligator bag, Catherine Zeta Jones looks like she’s working her way through Noah’s ark with a knife," PETA said of the in a statement to Access Hollywood.

The organisation is also planning to hold a protest outside the 40 year old star’s Broadway play, ‘A Little Night Music’.

"Maybe she’s trying to get into character for an upcoming role as a serial killer or a taxidermist," PETA added in the statement.

Apart from Zeta Jones, several other Hollywood A-listers were included in the list for their love of fur, leather and exotic animal skins.

Singer Jennifer Lopez, who PETA calls, "Jenny from the butcher block" is called out for wearing "old-school corpse coats" while Jessica Simpson came under fire for her wardrobe choices which "all resemble her career’s dead".

PETA also criticised actress Kate Hudson on a personal level and questioned if her love of fur drove away ex-lover Alex Rodriguez away from her.

"Kate, there’s no easier way to lose a guy in 10 days than by wearing a hairball. Maybe your furs are the reason why A-Rod ran for home”, PETA said in a statement.

Jennifer Garner says no to magazine shoots

Jennifer Garner has revealed that she despises posing for magazine shoots because she hates having to live up to the standards of fashion models.

The 37 year old actress had a rigorous workout regime early in her career, but insists since having two kids with husband Ben Affleck, her body isn’t what it used to be and she’s not keen on parading it for anyone.

"When I started acting models were on the covers of magazines and actors were actors’, said Garner.

“Then I started and this trend had began where suddenly you’re supposed to be on magazine covers, which is hell on earth basically. I mean, these girls get paid for a reason.

“And now they expect actors to look like models and I don’t wanna look like a model. I don’t want to be a model," Garner added.

Naomi Campbell organises fashion show for Haiti

Supermodel Naomi Campbell is showing her charitable side for Haiti. She has gathered the industry’s top stars to hold a special runway show as part of New York Fashion Week.

The British beauty has taken charge of Fashion for Relief and has called on pals including Christy Turlington and Marc Jacobs to take part in the event.

But Campbell insists she would not have been able to organise the event at such short notice without the help of celebrity designer Charlotte Ronson, who graciously gave up her original time slot to aid the Haitian relief effort.

Anne Hathaway has admitted that she is not as great a kisser as Angelina Jolie.

The “Valentine’s Day” star said that she is certainly not the best kisser on screen.

Believe it or not, but acclaimed Hollywood actress Milla Jovovich, who is one of John’s many fans, insisted filmmaker Deepa Mehta to cast the hunk opposite her in her next film ‘Beeba Boyz’.

It’s reported that Mehta had signed Milla in April 2010 for Beeba Boyz, a film on Punjabi gangsters. When Milla came onboard she expressed her desire to work with John, so Deepa decided to cast him. However with John’s jam packed schedule, Deepa could not get immediate time from the actor. But instead of hunting for another male lead Deepa decided to John’s dates. So now the director will first complete ‘Midnight’s Children’ and then return to ‘Beeba Boyz’.

Deepa said, “John was always my first choice for the part. Ever since we did Water, we’ve been waiting to work together again. Beeba Boyz is perfect for John. I need someone who will look menacing but attractive, sexy and earthy, speaking those Punjabi lines fluently.”

As for Milla’s admiration of John, Deepa said, “Milla asked about John the minute I offered her my film. I think she had seen John’s film and loved him in it.”

Confirming his involvement in the project, John said, “Yes, Deepa and I have met about the project with Milla. I’m doing it. We’ve sorted out the dates issues. I’m really fond of Deepa. I think we did something special in ‘Water’. We’ll do it again.”

Pamela Anderson is so smitten by the city of London that she is planning to buy two new properties in England.

The former ‘Baywatch’ star became enamoured by the UK capital while she was to perform in Aladdin, a traditional pantomime over the festive season, and now she wants a home in the city.

The 42 year old actress also wants to splash out on a home by the sea.

"Pammy loves it in England and is looking at buying two houses, one in London and one by the sea. She has a real affection for the place and would love to have somewhere she can call home," said her agent Toby St Just.

Anderson is currently living with her sons in a trailer park while renovations to her California home take place - and is facing a series of lawsuits from bosses of five construction firms who allege the blonde hasn’t paid them for their work on the project.
